Central and West London

My London

This is my London. I’ve come to know this city properly. I’d like to share the parts of it I love most: the restaurants I go back to, the bars I’d choose, the hotels worth what they cost. Read on for ideas about what the two of us might do together, grouped as West, Central and East.

I travel to you across London, and further afield in the UK by arrangement (see my rates). I also welcome you to a hotel suite in Kensington, by prior appointment. For where to stay, there are my top luxury hotels in London.

Questions

  • Every gentleman I meet was new to this once, and the ones who say so are usually the easiest evenings I have. Nothing here to guess at: you write, we agree a date, and the rest happens the way it would with anyone you were looking forward to meeting. If you’d like more before you write, I’ve written out the questions gentlemen ask me before booking.

  • On our first date, please bring the photo ID you screened with and the card you paid your deposit with, unless we’ve arranged otherwise. It’s simply so I know the gentleman I meet is the one I’ve been talking to. If either is missing, the date won’t go ahead.

  • Nothing you need to rehearse. A proper hello, a drink if there’s one going, and a few minutes to settle in. I’ll go and freshen up. While I’m gone, the envelope sits somewhere I’ll see it, so neither of us has to mention it. Then it’s two people and an evening ahead of them. That really is all there is to it.

  • A chilled glass of good champagne, to start. Tapas, Italian and anything with a bit of spice will always win me over, and there are no allergies to work around. One small thing: I’d rather my food came warm, so raw and cold dishes aren’t my first choice, even though some of my favourite restaurants are known for them. If you’re choosing, I’d start with my favourite restaurants in London and the bars I’d pick for a drink.

  • Never expected, always a pleasure. A gift is a gift, which is exactly why it’s lovely. If you’d like ideas, I’ve written about the gifts I’d happily be treated to.

  • Within reason, and it’s a conversation rather than a menu. There’s room for curiosity, teasing and a little power exchange inside an ordinary evening. Anything more structured has its own page. Tell me what interests you when you write and we’ll take it from there.
